Bin Bin
Bin Bin transforms one of the most mundane objects of our everyday life into an iconic design object with character. What at first glance looks like a randomly crumpled piece of paper is in fact one of the most striking ideas in the field of design wastebaskets and modern home accessories. Designed by John Brauer in 2005, Bin Bin today represents a new way of thinking about everyday objects – functional, emotional, and visibly beautiful.

Description
The origin story is as immediate as the form itself: While working, John Brauer crumpled a sheet of paper and, in that spontaneous moment, recognized the perfect balance of chance and aesthetics. Instead of discarding it, he preserved that very moment. A crumpled sheet becomes a design idea – and an icon. This very origin makes Bin Bin one of the most authentic objects in the realm of timeless design.
Since its introduction in 2005, the Bin Bin wastebasket has been produced unchanged – a clear sign of its design relevance and durability. The Bin Bin has won the Good Design Award 2005 (Japan), the iF Design Award 2006 and the Red Dot Design Award 2006 — recognition for exactly the kind of reduced, intelligent product design Bin Bin represents. It is also part of the collection at MoDiP, the Museum of Design in Plastics at Arts University Bournemouth (UK).
Manufactured in Germany, the Bin Bin combines high-quality craftsmanship with precise industrial production. The striking, organic shape is created through a demanding manufacturing process and is perfected with carefully refined edges. The result is a durable designer wastebasket that does not need to be hidden but is deliberately showcased as part of the interior – whether in the office, home office, or modern living space.
Bin Bin is more than a functional product. It is an object that evokes emotion and transforms spaces. A modern wastebasket that combines design, function, and history.
A wastebasket that doesn't want to be one – and that's exactly why it's one you want to have.
